On a Bus From Brooklyn, the Party Rolls -

Begun last month by the Rusty Knot’s owners, Taavo Somer and Ken Friedman, this shuttle was at first nothing more than a way to fill their bar on Monday nights in winter. Williamsburg seemed the perfect place to start, especially since many friends and regulars already lived there.

But what started as a means to an end is now a destination in its own right. With its minimal supervision (you must be at least 21), the ride is a reminder of when New York night life seemed to have no rules.”

This is the kind of thing I’d like to say I would enjoy but I really wouldn’t. I do enjoy the Rusty Knot though.

I made the mistake of looking at apartment listings this evening (my mom is thinking about getting a place in the city). This happens to me a lot when looking at real estate: I start out really reasonable but then I quickly get totally out of control. Here’s my latest obsession: it’s a 7,000 SF Triplex in a 1914 landmark Clock Tower building in dumbo with a private roof deck. 25Mil. No biggy. I don’t actually have 25Mil on hand right now so I’m going to give you all the link in hopes that someone I know will buy it so I can rent a room. Dream Home.
